About our Solid Yukon Pine Wooden Box: Our chocolates come in wooden boxes made in the Yukon Territory in Canada by a family operation. Adam and Kay Grinde and their ten children live near Teslin, a remote village of 450 people surrounded by spectacular Yukon mountains, forests, pristine rivers and lakes. They have one of the most unique wood working shops found anywhere. The family selectively logs or purchases local timber which they allow to season for at least 2 years. Boxes are then manufactured, with immaculate craftsmaship and attention to detail, with all family members participating in the production. Finishing is done with food-safe walnut oil. The wooden box, a lasting souvenir from the Yukon, can be used for many things long after the chocolates have been eaten. We hope you will enjoy the wooden box as much as our chocolates.

The ideal storage container for artisan breads. Birch bark has traditionally been used by people in Canada, Scandinavia and Russia to keep precious provisions fresher longer. Now you can use it in your home as well.
These bread bins come to us from a worker's cooperative in Sibera. Birch bark is naturally breathing material with essential oils to delay bread molding. The attractive container can be used for other food storage as well.

"This is a necessity since homemade bread is not as easy to slice as the store-bought loaves. The knife must have a scalloped, hollow-ground edge because the saw-toothed type will tear a lightly-textured crumb. It should look good enough to come to the table. The best bread knife available anywhere is a Canadian product from Grohmann Knives of Pictou, Nova Scotia." Canadian Bread Book
